Hi everyone,
Just talked to James and wanted to let you all know that the surgery was successful! Andy is now recovering with a new and strong heart. She will be sedated for a few days, but I will keep you all posted with the progress of her recovery. As soon as she is able to talk I will give you a phone number to call, as she can not use her cell phone while in ICU. I know you all prayed for her and send her all of your good thoughts, and I am l thankful for all your support! What a better gift for Andy for Valentines day, a new heart and all of your love!

Remember when I told everyone to kinda wait to send cards and stuff? Well, that's not true anymore! Andrea faces the very crummy aspect of having her hospital stay last for yet another six months or so. (Give or take) She was a little "down" about that.
Now a great time to go visit, send cards and letters, and even give her a call to say hi! and wish her well. As our prayers have been answered to keep her with us, it will be nice for her to hear your voice. Please take a little time out of your busy day to call or write.

Miracles of miracles!

January 15, 2009

Just talk to James earlier. Andy was out of surgery around 1:00 p.m. She is doing well. She is now sedated and intubated, probably for another two days or so. She will be in ICU for a week and if all goes well she will be back to the the unit she was on before (less critical and nice view). I don't have a mail address for her, but I will ask James if he knows what will be the best way to send her mail. Meanwhile she got an e-mail address: andreamnagy@aol.com and I am sure that as soon as she will be up she would like to hear from everyone. Just a reminder that her birthday is January 21st, so feel free to e-mail her a birthday card. I will keep you all posted for any (hopefully) good news
